With these wickets, Amir featured in the top 5 list of the most wickets in Asia Cup 2016. His best was 3/18 against arch-rivals India in the fourth match of the tournament on February 27, a match that Pakistan lost by 5 wickets.

The Bangladesh Right-arm medium pacer Al-Amin Hossain would pick 11 wickets from the five matches he played in the ACC Asia Cup 2016 at an average of 12.18.
