By admin | | 0 Comments |

What are your plans for this very cold, wintery Sunday? Your plans should involve playing at least one of the trio of The Weekender KO Series events. Day 1C of The Weekender comes in three buy-in levels: $530, $55, and $5.50. Get Ready For the $750K APAT WCOAP Festival
By admin | | 0 Comments |

Amateur poker players around the world are rejoicing after hearing the news of the massive World Championships Of Amateur Poker (WCOAP) taking place online at partypoker. APAT and partypoker have joined forces to produce a bustling schedule of tournaments with combined guarantees in excess of $750,000! The Amateur Poker Association & Tour (APAT) created the UK’s first national poker tour back in 2006 and has since gone from strength to strength. APAT, like partypoker, is dedicated to the development of amateur poker players. It does this by providing affordable tournaments and festivals with excellent structures that enable its army of members to enhance their poker skills in a competitive yet fun environment. Each event on the upcoming WCOAP festival is only open to non-professional players and all are played as a freezeout and with limited late registration to ensure a completely level playing field across the board. Ensure you make the most of your one and only bullet! WCOAP Opens In Style The APAT WCOAP kicks off on January 24 with the 6-Max Championship, a $55 buy-in event with a cool $75,000 guaranteed prize pool. Everyone sits down with a generous helping of 50,000 starting chips before getting down to business to blinds starting at 250/500/50a. Those blinds increase every 15-minutes. Late registration is open for 10 levels and the blinds at this stage are still only 800/1,600/200a, showing how phenomenal the WCOAP structures are; they wouldn’t look out of place in a tournament 100-times the size. There is also a Mini 6-Max Knockout running alongside it that only costs $5.50. Don’t think entering the lower buy-in WCOAP event means you’re missing out because the structures are almost identical, with the only difference being the blinds increase every 14-minutes instead of 15. Check out the full APAT WCOAP schedule here. Championship and Mini Events Run Side By Side It’s a theme that continues through the WCOAP right through to the Main Event on February 7 with each Championship Event having a Mini edition running alongside it. The Main Event, the 16th and final WCOAP tournament, commands a $109 buy-in but has $150,000 guaranteed to be won! Again, the structure is such that you don’t have to worry about making a mistake and being on the ropes for the rest of the tournament. Those entering the $11 buy-in WCOAP Mini Main Event get to play for a slice of a prize pool guaranteed to be at least $20,000. Medals and Championship Bracelets Anyone who has played an APAT event before will know everyone wanted to finish in the top three places because they received a special medal to commemorate their efforts. Those medals return for the WCOAP. Simply finish in the top three places in any WCOAP Championship event and you’ll receive a gold, silver, or bronze medal in addition to your prize money. Furthermore, the winner of each Championship event secures a Championship bracelet,  while the 2021 WCOAP Main Event champion gets their hands (or should that be wrist) on a specially commissioned bracelet! They are something to cherish and something every APAT player wants on their mantelpiece. Only APAT members can win these amazing bracelet and medal so be sure to create your free APAT account before playing in any of the events. Medals and bracelets are only awarded in the WCOAP Championship Events. The Mini WCOAP Events do not award bracelets or medals. WCOAP Player of the Series Leaderboard You’re going to want to play as many WCOAP events as you can but not only because the tournaments are fantastic and fun, but also because you earn points or the Player of the Series Leaderboard. The player deemed to be WCOAP Player of the Series walks away with a free MILLIONS Main Event seat worth $5,000! Those finishing in second-place through 10th win a $55 MILLIONS Online ticket for their efforts. There’s even a leaderboard for the WCOAP Mini Player of the Series. The winner bags a $1,100 MILLIONS Mini Online seat with second-place through 10th netting a $55 ticket. Like the medals and bracelets, these incredible prizes are only open to APAT members so make sure you register for your free APAT account and get involved with this vibrant, supportive community. Kronktheman Banks More Than $60,000 in KO Series One Shot
By admin | | 0 Comments |

Massive prizes were the order of the day on January 11 as the KO Series One Shot tournaments crowned their champions. The trio of One Shot champions won a combined $87,304 between them! Here’s who won those events. KO Series #16 – One Shot: $300K Gtd Final Table Results The $1,111 buy-in One Shot attracted a field of 302 entrants who were all outlasted by “Kronktheman”. Our champion sent 12 opponents to the sidelines on their way to victory before getting their hands on their own huge bounty payment courtesy of being the last player standing. All those bounties added up to $36,712, more than $12,000 more than they banked for finishing in first-place ($24,020)! Nobody at the final table won less than $3,600 and five of the finalists padded their bankrolls with five-figure scores. Hats off to “wp-14” who crashed out in seventh-place and won $4,614. That only tells part of the story, however, because wp-14 also scooped $5,570 worth of bounties along the way so reeled in a $10,184 score, one larger than both the fifth and sixth-place finishers! Place Player Prize Bounties 1 Kronktheman $24,020 $36,712 2 bitw1 $23,988 $9,988 3 uchitel44499 $16,060 $2,138 4 ExploisT $10,602 $4,558 5 TheFloes $7,594 $2,171 6 AndreyBolkonsky $6,065 $1,061 7 wp-14 $4,614 $5,570 8 Jamnix_90 $3,804 $3,249 9 Rainer_Zufall $3,150 $563 KO Series #16 – Mini One Shot: $200K Gtd Final Table Results “ldz11” became a KO Series champion after triumphing over 1,836 opponents in the $109 buy-in Mini One Shot: $200K Gtd. The winner’s $109 investment swelled to more than $23,000 thanks, in part, to accumulating $9,999 worth of bounty payments. They actually won $9,999.63 so were only $0.37 away from $10,000 worth of scalps! The $109 buy-in event’s runner-up, “casinomustdie” was the other finalist to secure a five-figure payday. Second-place awarded a $12,977 prize plus they collected $894 from the bounty prize pool courtesy of eliminating nine opponents during their impressive run. Patrick Blye Wins APAT WCOAP Main Event For $27.4K
By admin | | 0 Comments |

The curtain came down on a massively successful APAT World Championship Of Amateur Poker (WCOAP) with the crowning of the Main Event champion. Patrick Blye of Canada is that champion, a result that saw the Canadian walk away with an impressive $27,408. The $109 buy-in Main Event attracted a bumper crowd of 1,751 entrants who ensured the $150,000 guarantee was blown out of the water. $175,100 was shared among the top 263 finishers, a min-cash weighing in at $212 and a final table appearance boosting that prize to $2,116. Place Player Country Prize 1 Patrick Blye Canada $27,408 2 Randy Vermette Canada $18,618 3 Jamie O’Connor United Kingdom $12,709 4 Michael Errington United Kingdom $8,436 5 Shane Pollington United Kingdom $5,748 6 Zachary Lipeles Austria $4,390 7 Jelmer De Visser Netherlands $3,406 8 Stephen Prandstatter United Kingdom $2,706 9 Julian Selinger Malta $2,116 Malta’s Julian Selinger was the first of the nine finalists to bust. Blinds were 300,000/600,000/75,000a and Selinger open-shoved from early position for 3,746,922 chips with . Shane Pollington called from the big blind with and busted Selinger courtesy of an ace on the river of the board. The first of three British players, Stephen Prandstatter, crashed out in eighth-place for a $2,706 return on his $109 investment. Prandstatte came unstuck during the 350,000/700,000/87,500a level. Jelmer De Visser raised to 1,470,000 with , Blye three-bet to 3,150,000 with and Prandstatter four-bet all-in for 4,236,421 with . Both players called the all-in bet. The flop came and De Visser checked. Blye bet 2,100,000 into the 14.45 million chip pot, which folded out De Visser. Blye won the pot and busted Prandstatter when the turn and river fell and . Seventh-place and $3,406 went to De Visser. The action folded to Jamie O’Connor on the button and he min-raised to 1,400,000 with . De Visser three-bet all-in from the small blind with for 11,779,562 only to see Blye call with . O’Connor folded. The five community cards ran and the tournament lost another player. Austrian star Zachary Lipeles was the next player to fall by the wayside, his exit in sixth-place locking up $4,390. Michael Errington kicked off the preflop betting win a min-raise to 1,600,000 with and Lipeles called in the big blind with . Both players check the flop. The turn was greeted by a pair of checks. The river completed a wheel for Lipeles but a higher straight for Errington. Lipeles bet 1,360,000 and called off the 3,524,316 chips he had behind when Errington set him all-in. Game over for Lipeles. O’Connor Takes Control The final five became four with the untimely demise of Pollington. Errington followed his fellow Brit to the rail. O’Connor raised twice the big blind to 2,400,000 with and Errington made it 5,400,000 from the small blind with . O’Connor ripped it in and Errington called off the rest of his 14,356,173 chips. Both players paired their ace on the board, but O’Connor’s jack-kicker won him the 41.3 million chip pot. O’Connor now had a massive chip lead and looked set for APAT WCOAP glory but it didn’t work out that way because O’Connor was the next player out of the door. Nothing went right for O’Connor while play was three-handed. His final hand saw him lose a coinflip to Blye. Blye min-raised to 3,200,000 with , Randy Vermette folded his in the small blind, but O’Connor jammed for 43,379,662 in total with . Blye called. The Canadian’s sevens held as the board ran . O’Connor collected $12,710 for his impressive third-place finish. Blye Hold Huge Heads-Up Lead Blye went into heads-up holding a 145,604,156 to 29,495,844 chip advantage over fellow Canadian Vermette. It didn’t take long for Blye to get his hands on Vermette’s chips and become the WCOAP Main Event champion. From the button, Blye made it 3,200,000 to go with and Vermette called with . Both players improved to a pair on the flop, but both players checked. The turn brought the into view, further improving Blye’s hand. Vermette bet 5,600,000 into the 6,800,000 pot, Blye raised enough to put Vermette to the test for the 24,591,688 chips he had behind and Vermette called. The river was the , which failed to change the course of the hand and a card that sent Vermette home in second-place with $18,619 to console himself with. Congratulations to Blye who is a worthy champion, a champion with $27,408 more in his partypoker account than a couple of days ago. Blye also receives a coveted APAT gold medal and a custom WCOAP Main Event bracelet. Top work! A Fitting End to a Superb Festival We’re sure you’ll agree that this APAT WCOAP festival was superb. Dzmitry Urbanovich Becomes a KO Series Champion
By admin | | 0 Comments |

There was a stellar name at the top of the KO Series High Roller 6-Max Turbo payout table on January 12, that of Dzmitry Urbanovich. The Polish sensation has won millions of dollars from poker tournaments and added almost $12,000 to his already impressive tally by winning this event. KO Series – High Roller 6-Max Turbo Final Table Results A field of 101 players exchanged $530 for 100,000 chips and the chance to become a KO Series champion. Half the $50,500 prize pool went onto the heads of each entrant with the top 17 finishers sharing the other 50%. “PUCKBOUCHARD” burst the money bubble when they crashed out in 18th place, but they did manage to win $875 worth of bounties so showed a profit on their investment. “TheFloes” was the first of the six finalists to dust off their stack. Their account swelled by $2,742 with bounty payments included. “IwillTr1pleU” was the next casualty, their fifth-place finish returning a combined prize worth $2,865.
